Rules for authors

1. Scientific articles in English and Ukrainian are accepted for publication in accordance with the subject of the magazine.

2. The necessary conditions for the publication of an article are its compliance with the requirements and provisions of the Ethical Declaration adopted by the publisher ElsevierEthical declaration can be found on the magazine's website http://aptm.com.ua).

3. Design of the article:

  • UDC code;
  • the title of the article;
  • the surname and initials of the author(s) (initials are placed after the surname), as well as the ORCID for each author;
  • the name of the organization where the work was performed (you must provide an email address or correspondence address);
  • keywords (in 2 languages);
  • an abstract in English, Russian and Ukrainian with the structure corresponding to the article after the text of the article in a volume sufficient to understand the key provisions of the article (2000 characters) It's a must!

4. Structure of the article:

  • Introduction;
  • objects;
  • contingents;
  • research methods;
  • results and their discussion;
  • Conclusions;
  • list of cited literature (in order of mention) with mandatory provision of the DOI of the cited article (if available).

The headings of structural parts are placed on a separate line, on the left edge, in bold.

5. The list of references should be formatted in accordance with the following requirements DSTU 8302:2015 “Bibliographic references.all abbreviations must meet the requirements of DSTU 3582:2013 “Bibliographic description. Abbreviations of words and phrases in the Ukrainian language. General requirements and rules”.

You should also include a list of references in Latin with the subtitle “References”.

References to articles in Russian or Ukrainian should be followed by “(in Russian)” or “(in Ukrainian)”.

An example of how to create links in this case:

Author A.A., Author B.B., Author C.C. 2013, «Title of article», Title of Journal, Vol. 10, No 2, pp. 49-53. DOI…..

6. All articles are subject to mandatory blind peer review by specialized experts.

7. Manuscripts are accepted for consideration by the Editorial Board in electronic form in the following document format Microsoft Word (*.docx, *.rtf) (e-mail — med_trans@ukr.net).

Drawings, photographs, diagrams, graphs can be inserted into the text of the article or attached as separate raster or vector graphics files. A big request do not format pictures from separate frames and text blocks. Graphic objects in raster format must have a resolution sufficient to convey all significant details of the image. Illustrations must be numbered and labeled. Tables and diagrams should preferably be saved in Microsoft Excel format.

8. Rules for formatting a text of a general cultural nature:

  • after the punctuation mark (but in no case before the signThis applies to periods, commas, colons, ellipses, semicolons, exclamation points, and questions. The exception is the decimal point in a number, which is not separated by a space;
  • a space is placed to the left of the opening quotation marks and brackets and to the right of the closing quotation marks and brackets, but not vice versa;
  • integers in decimals are separated from fractions by a comma, not a period;
  • the paragraph indentation (red line) is set by means of paragraph formatting in a text editor (for example, in Microsoft Word, Format>>Paragraph>>First Line, or by moving the slider on the top line). You may not set the paragraph indentation with spaces or with the tab character/key;
  • formatting text with multiple repetitions of spaces or tabs is not allowed;
  • A distinction should be made between a hyphen and a dash. A dash is longer than a hyphen and is surrounded by spaces on both sides. A hyphen has no spaces on either side;
  • the signs «±», «=» must be separated from the text on both sides by spaces;
  • references to literary sources should be indicated in square brackets [#] (not in parentheses or slashes);
  • Alphabetic constants and variables, Latin terms, and names of organisms should be italicized, for example: t=2.3 (but not t=2.3), “Experiments in vitro have shown...", ”of the aerobic component of the facultative normal intestinal flora, the most important are Escherichia coli and Enterococcus faecium»;
  • Finally, you need to follow the rules of grammar and punctuation.

9. Data in tables, text, and illustrations should not duplicate each other (let alone contradict each other);

10. The editorial board reserves the right to reject an article if its content or formatting does not meet the requirements for authors or the subject matter of the journal.
