Conditions and mechanism of retraction<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Retraction is used in cases where the identified violations make it impossible to reliably use the results of the article. The main reasons for retraction of a publication include:<\/span><\/p>\n

Violation of journalistic ethics.<\/span>
Plagiarism or incorrect borrowing of text, ideas, and data.<\/span>
Significant errors and shortcomings in the study.<\/span>
Duplication of publication (reprinting the same article in another publication without justification).<\/span>
Authorship issues: including people who didn't contribute, or excluding real authors.<\/span>
Unscrupulous review or the presence of a hidden conflict of interest.<\/span>
Lack of proper references to primary sources.<\/span>
An important feature is that after the retraction procedure, the article is not deleted without a trace: it is stored in the archive of the scientific publication, but with a mandatory and clear indication of the fact of its retraction.<\/span><\/p>\n

In cases where it is necessary to retract an article, the editorial board adheres to the principles of academic integrity and international recommendations, in particular, COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).<\/span><\/p>\n

Namely:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2014 The decision to retract is made taking into account the opinion of each member of the editorial board after a thorough study of the issue and verification of all the circumstances of the case.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2014 The decision to retract is made by the authors of the article, who can offer their own solution to the problem.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2014 The final decision on the retraction of the article is published in the nearest issue of the journal.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2014 The withdrawn article remains in the archived issues of the publication; in this case, in the electronic version of the journal, the note \u201cWithdrawn\u201d is placed after the title of the material in the table of contents of the corresponding issue.<\/span><\/p>\n
