Procedure for withdrawing published articles

Conditions and mechanism of retraction

Retraction is used in cases where the identified violations make it impossible to reliably use the results of the article. The main reasons for retraction of a publication include:

Violation of journalistic ethics.
Plagiarism or incorrect borrowing of text, ideas, and data.
Significant errors and shortcomings in the study.
Duplication of publication (reprinting the same article in another publication without justification).
Authorship issues: including people who didn't contribute, or excluding real authors.
Unscrupulous review or the presence of a hidden conflict of interest.
Lack of proper references to primary sources.
Важливою особливістю є те, що після проведення процедури ретракції стаття не видаляється безслідно: вона зберігається в архіві наукового видання, але з обов’язковим та чітким зазначенням факту її відкликання.

In cases where it is necessary to retract an article, the editorial board adheres to the principles of academic integrity and international recommendations, in particular, COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).

Namely:

— The decision to retract is made taking into account the opinion of each member of the editorial board after a thorough study of the issue and verification of all the circumstances of the case.

— The decision to retract is made by the authors of the article, who can offer their own solution to the problem.

— The final decision on the retraction of the article is published in the nearest issue of the journal.

— Відкликана стаття залишається у архівних випусках видання; при цьому в електронній версії журналу в змісті відповідного номера після назви матеріалу робиться позначка “Відкликано”.

— References to retracted work are considered incorrect, and citing retracted articles is not allowed.
